Printing and stencilling! FUN!!!!!

I think I will have to do the blue one again! Can't wait to stitch these together.  My husband is disappointed that I didn't stencil Gene Pitney.

Here is the beginning of a wall hanging, looking forward to make these up!!!!!
I am really having lots of fun printing the backgrounds then stencilling over the printed fabric, I have used my Gelli plate to do the printed piece.  You can then stencil before it is dry properly.  But on these I did the gold background printing on the play day I had with friends. I have made a pattern in the gold using a leaf stamp.

Kindy Quilt

The 4 year olds at Feilding Eden Kindergarten have been screen printing using their own drawings for a display later this week.  I got the job of piecing their work together and quilting it, it will then be a cover for a sofa in the Kindergarten.
You can check out the Kindergarten at http://www.edenkindy.co.nz/

Playing with our new Gelli plates

Norma, Ann and myself had lots of fun with our new Gelli plates today!!!!!
Here are some of the prints I made! What a cool start can't wait to play again some time soon.

More painted, stencilled/screen printed Quilts!!!!!!!!!!

I am really getting into these painted quilts, the top one has been painted and printed with the help of a 5 year old little girl.  I am sure she enjoyed the process.

The green and blue one I used two colours to do the stencilling/screen printing!!!!!!
The pictures are done by using a combination of stencilling and screen printing if that makes any sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Painted Quilts

The coloured fabric in this quilt was painted by my 7 year old Grandson. In January of this year, I have only just finished it this week.

This quilt I have been playing around with some painting and stencilling on fabric, then on the four cat blocks I have quilted each block different to see what it would look like.
This Quilt I have made with the help of my two and a half year old
Grand daughter. The look on her little face when she saw the castles and stars that she had stencilled was so cute to see.
This page tells the story!!!!!!!!!!!
