Halberg Challenge

This is my "Halberg" Challenge. Myself and three nieces are involved with this challenge, all our maiden names were Halberg. The photo's are of my grandparents on my fathers side.
This challenge was my choice for this one I had been given the black frames quite some time ago and have wanted to use them on something special, I am pleased with my result.

12 x 12 Challenge "LIGHT"

WELL these 12 x 12 Challenges are really challenging me after the first one I did, I had decided I wanted to make a series of small quilts that in some way would be a reflection of my life. This one is a memory of our marriage.

"WINGED" Inchie

This weeks "Inchie" WINGED I must admit I am struggling a bit with these! But I WILL continue I hope I can keep up and do all 52 of them. I am trying to do the quilting on my King size quilt hopefully I will be able to do 2 to 3 blocks per day, Yeah right, I can dream, they are free after all.

Here is the result of the fabric rubbings below. Sometimes when you image something it doesn't always work out BUT this one has worked I am pleased with my result. This was supposed to be a challenge for later in the year, BUT I just had to share it, SO I will have to come up with a different one for my challenge!!!!!

I have just been playing around with paintstick rubbings!!!! Oh what FUN!!!!! I do have an idea what I may do with this!!!! But for now I must go back into my studio and bind a small challenge quilt!!! No time to sit around here on the computer!!!!!!

The two quilts above I have put together for Shirley from Kiwiquilters, blocks were made by other people sent to Shirley Goodwin (coordinator), http://shirleygoodwin.blogspot.com/ then sent on to meI have put togetherand quilt. I hope they will be OK as lap quilts. They will put in the post first thing in the morning and sent of to Christchurch.

Hearts for Christchurch

Just finished my hearts for Christchurch I hope to get them in the post Monday. Now back to the quilting projects I have deadlines on. Two to be finished by the end of March plus all the normal things that have to be done.

Balloons and Hearts for CHRISTCHURCH

I have started making "HEARTS" for Christchurch, this evening I will spend my time stitching on embellishments. I can see there could be some inchies from the scraps from the hearts.

At 7pm FEILDING let balloons go in support of CHRISTCHURCH. Balloons were sold for a gold coin there were quite a few people that bought twice as their balloons escaped before 7pm.

KING SIZE QUILT

WELL!!!! I am going to be busy for the next week or maybe MONTH maybe YEAR!!!!
