12" x 12" WATER Challenge
Here is my 12” x 12” Kiwiquilters challenge, the theme “Water”
The house I lived in as a child was pulled down to make way for a school and we cannot find any photo's of it. Beside the house was a small pond made from a cow trough as I remember it. On one side was a miniature maple tree, the other side was a rockery. The pond had a carp in it, which I am told my brother found in the local stream. We had a cat called Tiger Tim which I just had to add, I have added the word POND as it is my Mothers maiden name. Pond being my inspiration for the theme of “water”.
Found the STUDIO
I have finally found my studio again and it also had a floor which had been lost under thread and fabric offcuts, you wouldn't believe I do have two rubbish containers in the room. I bet it will not take long to lose it again. I have had thoughts of becoming a boring old lady and giving up this fabric and craft addiction. I am such a hoarder maybe it would be better to stay the way I am and leave it to the children to get rid of when I am done with it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"MAUDLIN" Inchie
This weeks inchie! Below just showing how small they really are, quite amazing how much you can get on such a small piece of art work.
I really should be having a major cleanup in my studio so I can start to create some bigger pieces of work, such as a new quilt for our new King size bed. Maybe if I sew two single quilts together. Ha Ha I really don't think that will work.

POWERFUL Inchie
A little late with this inchie! Have been away for a very short break! Just a wee inchie showing how powerful ants are. While away I found these tiny tiny little lemon and lime thingy's, they are so tiny I was not sure how I would attach them. I have used gem glue to glue them down even that was very hard as they are so very very small. In the packet there is some more tiny tiny things which I thought may come in handy for inchies.

Two Little Ruru
This is a pattern from the New Zealand Quilter designed by Jenny Hunter. I just had to make it when I noticed the fabric on the wings it is a very old fabric AND I had some AND I found it, that was amazing as sometimes I cannot find something I had just a couple of days ago.
The background fabric looked very much like what I have used, but I painted my piece yesterday.
I will be giving this away.
