challenge quilt

I think I have made a big mistake!!!! I was supposed to write an artist statement, not how I have made my challenge, will I have to say that is something I have so much trouble with just can't do it.
Maybe I had just give up doing challenges, I believe I am a quilter not a writer.
I JUST LOVE TO PATCHWORK AND QUILT!!!!!!!!!!

AMAZING ART

Saturday evening I took two of my granddaughter's to The Feilding High Wearable Arts. There were entrants from High Schools around the Manawatu region, what an amazing show of work done by these students. I will be trying my best to go again next year. It was truly amazing. I think there would have been about 2000 people there, I will see what it says in the local paper when it comes out I am sure they will have numbers. Well done Feilding High School.

Ana's Quilt

Here is a photo of Ana with the quilt I helped her make last weekend. Ana chose the fabric's from some old sewing fabric's.
I cut the pieces using a method I had seen on simple quilt (quick cutting) it worked really well, I think I will have to make a quilt using this cutting method. BUT WHEN? I first need to quilt Ana's quilt for her. Hopefully she will come with me to our next FDG quilt meeting and show it herself. The plan is to put the quilt in the Quilt Exhibition (Childrens section) Details of the QUILT EXHIBITION are below.

Printing Fun

Just having a bit of fun!!!!! As you can see in the photo below I have done some samples on scraps of white fabric then I did some printing onto some green pieces of fabric which had been cut into 3 1/2 inch squares and did the printing on them. I did some using black paint then I tried using some red paint on the green fabric which I thought it would look awful but it was not to bad at all.

The green fabric had little bits of other colour on it which made it look even more interesting. I can see I will be having a lot fun in the near future, it is just a matter of finding the time to play around with more colours and more
