Last weeks finished QUILT

I finished this quilt last week just hadn't got around to photograph it, I used two sets of feature blocks and set it out like a scrap quilt. I like doing this with different size blocks in a quilt. I may be working on a challenge quilt or two so will not be posting photo's of them so no one sees them!

The Cat has found another new bed

What have I started here!!!!!! Not sure if this will work, just have to do the eyes and the mouth but I think I will take a break for a few days and catch up on a bit of gardening. After all the rain weeds grow so fast.

I have had to take a break from quilting to make a pirate outfit for my grandson

It took a lot to convince him to wear it.

Where will I find this cat Next, even my quilts are not safe with her around.

Dragon Quilt FINISHED

Dragon quilt finished I am pleased with it, I think I will keep this one.

Well it was a busy week with the grandchildren, the last two, the eldest two that came wanted to sew. Below are their efforts, and they are wearing aprons they made. They were very proud of their achievements. Lucky I had enough sewing machines for all to sew at the same time. Nothing is worse than waiting for a sewing machine when you are so keen to SEW! SEW! SEW! My hoarding of fabric is now starting to pay off, it mean't the girls could just choose fabric cut and sew without having to ask about each piece. I have some boxes marked just for children's to use, very handy indeed.

Some more Quilting

I won't be quilting tomorrow, I will be looking after two 3 year old grandsons I think they will keep me very busy and I bet I will be very tired by the end of the day.
This is the beginning of a crazy pieced santa cape. This is for my daughter,I have 12 months to complete it. YEAH!!!!

Here is some of my creative quilting not really sure if I like it or not a bit wayout.

This small christmas wall hanging quilt is made using a print of Tye's foot and his two hands making a reindeer. I am hoping to make a big quilt for next christmas with the help of all my grandchildren. ( All six of them )

A Fairy and a Charity Quilt

A couple of days ago we went to the Esplanade in PN I took a photo of a waterfall from inside the glasshouse, which I thought would make a lovely photo to sit one of my granddaughters beside as a fairy as she loves pretending to be fairy.

This quilt top was made by a well known RCQ member to be donated to charity and I have quilted it. I did this just before Christmas and need to take it back to the club meeting later this month.

Quilting today

This is the first time I have tried to cross-hatching by machine, hopefully by the time I get to the last block I will have it mastered

Trying out some different quilting in the backgrounds, not sure about this one.
I have been doing quite a few quilts lately by putting them together with 2 and a half inch squares to give it a scrappy look.
