Playing again

Isn't it amazing what you can do to a piece of work 19 years later!!! At the time I thought it looked OK!!!! I do think the quilting improves it and it gave me a chance to PLAY AGAIN!!!!!!!

I think it is time I put my machine away and do some real work!!!!!!!!!!!! Like dusting and polishing Ha Ha I don't have anything to polish thank goodness but I may find some dusting if I look hard enough!!!!!!

I'm on a ROLL

Well I just can't seem to leave this alone. Still having fun!!!!!!!!!! this small piece is 17 inchies square I had to see if I could do free motion feathers in a border and make it fill the space.

Now all I have to do is to add the ribbons to tie the back together. Sorry Dayna you will have to wait until after the quilt club show and tell before you receive your Christmas Tree Skirt............

I need a House Keeper

I am needing a house keeper so I can PLAY on my sewing machine!!!!!!! I have just watched a DVD by Patsy Thompson and have always wanted to do free motion feathers. WELL Patsy's instructions are SOOOOOOOO good and she makes it so easy to follow. I have so much more to try................

I did this art piece after having two of my grand daughters here sewing last week. I was so inspired by what they had done I had to do a piece for myself.
I also watched a DVD by Kim Bradley and I was so inspired by her work also.

I did it lucky I had already finished these 3 some time ago before I came down with this horrible thing. At least I can now get these up to show. I can't talk much (which alot of people will be pleased about) because every time I talk it makes me cough!!!!! I have heard this may go on for 100 days!!!!! that will be Christmas HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is a story that goes with this piece of work but I am finding it a bit hard to concentrate at the moment.

This weeks Inchie "DESTINATION"

Here's my Halberg Challenge " Green Sleeves" I have used the theme to create a 12" x 12" to fit in with my Kiwiquilters ones.
When I was at High School we did an item at the end of the year. It was for PE and we danced to "Green Sleeves" we wore black swimming togs with green Dyed curtain fabric made into lose fitting tops and held chiffon scarves.

I still have more fabric I painted today which is not dry yet, so I wonder what I may do tomorrow. I have just added more sunflowers which I think has made it look a lot better!!!!!
